Pole Classes

Note:

  • ALL STUDENTS MUST register online prior to arrival to reserve a place in class.

  • FIRST TIME POLE STUDENTS WITHOUT EXPERIENCE must register for an intro to pole class or any "all level" class must register for an intro to pole class.

  • Dress Code: In order to stick to the pole you need skin. Wear short shorts or spandex booty shorts that come down no lower than mid thigh. A sports bra with a tank top or spaghetti strap top is mandatory. For men you must wear shorts and a tank top. Dress code is strictly enforced. No shoes are worn in Intro To Pole.

  • Do not use body lotion prior to or on the day of your class; you will slide off the pole and damage the finish on the poles. No rings or bracelets as they will scratch the poles.

  • Please bring your own yoga mat to class; we do not supply them.

Intro to Pole / Pole Virgins (All Levels)

All first time pole students are required to register for a Pole Virgins Intro To Pole class. If you have had prior pole experience you will be evaluated and then placed in the proper class level. In this class we start from scratch with all the basic spins, dance moves, strengthening and climbing techniques. The average student takes this class at least five times before advancing to Level 1. If you have significant pole experience, please call to discuss class placement.

Advanced Beginner Pole Dance and Fitness

Are you beyond intro level but not quite ready for level 1? Are you ready to start stringing basic moves together and preparing for inversion? Or maybe you want to revisit some basics and trying to get more comfortable in your stilettos... then this class is for you!

Prerequisites: Must be familiar with basic spins and climbing techniques

Sexy Flow (Advanced Beginner and up)

Fun and challenging, this pole dance class will make you feel even more amazing than you already are! Learn to link moves together during class with choreography segments, including body waves, hip circles, spins, and all around sexy movement. No dance experience needed, just familiarity with intro spins and moves on the pole. Knee pads and/or leg warmers suggested but not mandatory (both available for sale if you are in need).

Sexy Movement (Level 1 and Up)

You can never be too sexy! In this class you will learn how to spice up your pole practice by learning classic sexy floorwork, spins, and choreography. You will also have several opportunities to freestyle and put it all together. Stilettos are optional. (You must have basic knowledge of pole work and have moved up from intro level).

Nasty Night! (Advanced Beginner and up)

First Friday of every month only, let's make it nasty! This one hour class is designed to bring out your naughty side. All those things you might just consider taboo in regular pole class, let it come out in the dim studio lighting. Bring layers for striptease, bring heels if you'd like (or we'll sell you some), work on a bit or choreography, or make it your own through freestyle.

Pole Dynamics (Level 1 and Up)

Take your tricks and spins to a new level! Progress from  level 1 tricks and spins to level 2 tricks and combinations. See where your moves will take you! Absolutely no beginners!

Prerequisite: Strong knee hook required

Pole Fitness Level 1

After a ten to fifteen minute warm up we will move to the pole to start conditioning our bodies by using vertical resistance training. In this class you will learn all the basic spins, climbing techniques, inverting from the floor up the pole, and dance transitions. At the end of class we leave time for freestyle dance for you to play and practice what we have learned in class. This is an advanced level class; absolutely no beginners!

Pole Fitness Level 2

After a ten to fifteen minute warm up we will move to the pole to start conditioning our bodies by using vertical resistance training. In this class you will learn all the basic spins, climbing techniques, inverting from the floor up the pole, and dance transitions. At the end of class we leave time for freestyle dance for you to play and practice what we have learned in class. This is an advanced level class; absolutely no beginners!

Pole Fitness Level 3

You must have prior approval from the instructor before attending this class. You must have already successfully mastered our beginner pole fitness class and Level 1 and 2 prior to attending. After a ten to fifteen minute warm up we will move to the pole to start intermediate vertical resistance training. In this class you will learn more advanced spins, how to invert off the floor, and intermediate pole tricks. Fifty percent of this class is off the ground so you must have built the strength to start going aerial.

Pole Combos (Level 2 and Up)

Fix your flow and learn how to create combos of your very own. This class will drill intermediate level floor work sequences and pole tricks so that each student feels confident in their abilities to move on and off the pole. Students must be level 2 or higher in order to participate.

Pole Power (Level 1 and Up)

This class is for students who are comfortable inverting on the pole and begins with a 10 minute warm up followed by 10-15 minutes of conditioning focusing on shoulders and core.  For the remainder of the class we will work on aerial tricks and transitions with a focus on technicality and dual sided proficiency for every move.

Low Flow (Level 1 and up)

This pole dance class focuses on finding fluidity in your movement. You will learn how to create seamless transitions from one move to the next while following your momentum to achieve an effortless, yet powerful flow. The moves in this class will stay near the base of pole, so you do not need to be able to climb or invert to be successful, but a general familiarity with basic pole spins and moves is suggested. Knee pads and/or leg warmers suggested but not mandatory (both available for sale if you are in need).

Open Studio & Open Pole

This is a two hour block of time for you to practice on your own under the guidance of an instructor. This is a great time to work on your pole and/or aerial skills you have learned in class. There will be no warm up and no class instruction. The instructor will be available to assist you with questions about moves you are working on. Students may not provide instruction to other students on new movement. Helping each other with mutual skills is permitted.
